New Eagle Scout at Bishop Byrne Middle and High School
Bishop Byrne sophomore, Odeil Kimble (15), was recently
awarded the Boy Scout rank of Eagle Scout, achieving a goal
he has worked toward for 8 years, first as a Cub Scout and
then as a Boy Scout in Troop 514. One requirement of this,
the highest rank in Boy Scouts, is performing a service
project to benefit his community. Odeil conducted a food and
clothing drive to benefit the Seek the Path shelter for
adults living in poverty, collecting more than 600 canned
goods and hundreds of pounds of clothing and other items for
shelter residents. These items were received with great
appreciation by shelter staff when Odeil and fellow scouts
delivered the donations that they had collected over the
past several months.
