At the close of each semester, examinations will be administered in each course in which a student is enrolled. Semester examinations will be comprehensive and will be calculated as 20% of the semester grade.

Exemptions from exams in year-long classes are permitted for
seniors only. In such cases, the following prerequisites must be met:

The student must have an A average in the class

The student must have maintained conduct grades of E or S throughout the year


The student may not have more than three excused absences for the present semester
The student may not have any unexcused absences


The student must have maintained the academic honor code throughout the year

Note: Semester examinations will not be administered early. Special arrangements for early administration of examinations is not permitted. If a student misses an examination due to illness or a family emergency, a make-up exam may be scheduled, pending approval of the principal. An administrative fee of $10.00 per examination will be required for late administration of exams.

To request late administration of exams, the parent must forward a written request to the principal. The request must include explanation as to why it will not be possible for the student to sit for exams as per the regular exam schedule. Parents will receive written notification of approval or denail of the request, and a date and time for administration of the examination(s) following payment of applicable fees.
